About Me |
|
My name is Karl, and I’m a passionate electronics hobbyist who also codes from time
to time. I’m currently studying electrical engineering and working at the Fraunhofer Institute for
Applied Solid State Physics. My main focus is high-frequency and power semiconductor electronics, though
I’m currently an absolute noob. I hope that will change as I progress toward my bachelor’s degree!
I’ve always been fascinated by electronics, how they work, and complex systems
in general. Besides university, I enjoy building circuits for my own projects and writing terrible code.

Outside my intellectual interests, I also enjoy hiking and riding my bike around the
city. I recently moved to Freiburg, which has been a great city to live in; very friendly and just the
right size. My boyfriend introduced me to makerspaces back in my hometown of Berlin, so I made sure to
find one here too, where I love spending my time.

If my bachelor’s goes well, I hope to pursue a master’s degree. My dream universities
would be ETH Zurich or MIT, though financing would probably be just as challenging as being good enough
to get in. But the future is always uncertain, so I don’t bother planning too far ahead. Whatever
happens, join me for the ride!
